This is an outstanding pre-Prohibition amber beer bottle from the famous McAvoy Brewing Company of Chicago, Illinois, one of the city’s powerhouse breweries during the late 1800s. This bottle features the classic blob-top finish  used before crown caps were invented  putting it firmly in the 1880s–1905 era.
